Portfolio - Extensions

Some pictures of recently completed side return extension to a Victorian end terrace in Sutton Coldfield. The fairly modest dimensions of the extension have totally transformed the kitchen into a contemporary space for cooking, dining and socialising. With the addition of roof rights and bifold doors and glazed apex providing light, views and connection to the outside.

The brief was to renovate, up-scale and modernize this compact 3 bed house into a 5 bed with open plan kitchen living space. The family were delighted with the result and have really benefited from the additional space and uplift in property value. We worked with the clients from our free initial advice through to the detailed design to help them achieve the property aspirations. The extensions include a first floor front bathroom to bedroom conversion. Loft conversion to bedroom and single storey rear with alterations to create spacious ground floor accommodation. Including obtaining the necessary planning and building control approvals.

The accommodation at this 3 bedroom dormer bungalow was transformed by a first floor rear extension. Two impressive double bedrooms were added which made a significant improvement to the property in both appearance and value. The clients were very pleased with the outcome and welcomed our help in providing a planning approved design. The detailed drawings were particularly interesting with the complexity of the roof conversion.

This elegant Sutton Coldfield home was improved by the simple additional of a first floor rear extension. A large double bedroom with ensuite facility was added with a view of the beautiful gardens from the large casement window. A new pitched roof was used to incorporate the design perfectly to the existing house and the result was a very balanced look to the rear of the property.

We were very happy to provide our architectural services to our client in Tamworth to design and secure planning and building control approval on this single storey rear extension. A great result was achieved and this is fine example of the open plan living requirement we often see for kitchen family rooms. This project features a Bi-fold door and a vaulted sky light ceiling which helps flood the space with natural light creating a really inviting environment linked neatly with the outdoor space.
